Ricky Jade-Jones

Well done Ricky. Super, super quick. A genuine lad to have come through the ranks. He joined when he was just 9 years old and still only 17 years old.

It's Ricky-Jade Jones

His surname is not double barrelled.

Still lots of confusion about the young man, according to the club site he is R-J Jones, but BBC, Sky, Flash scores have him as R Jade-Jones. Also his age seems a mystery 18 on the club website, yet wiki has him as born 2002 ie 17. One thing we do know, he’s quicker that Usain, and a cheetah

Rumours that Posh have told Tottenham they want £10m for 17/18 year old RJJ. (still not sure where to put the hyphen!)   :D

From the Peterborough Telegraph
https://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/spo ... -1-9148733
Ricky-Jade Jones is believed to be the youngest goalscorer in Peterborough United’s Football League era.

Club statisticians can’t find anyone younger than Jones who scored his first Posh goal against Cambridge United in the EFL Trophy aged 17 years and four days.

Jones is now expected to make his Football League debut in tomorrow’s League One clash against Burton Albion at London Road.

From Rousing the Kop
https://www.rousingthekop.com/2019/11/2 ... n-to-move/
The Reds are linked with just about any impressive youngster in the game. The latest rumour, reported by The Daily Mail, states that Liverpool are chasing Ricky-Jade Jones of Peterborough United. A tweet by the chairman of The Posh will have given Michael Edwards heart in any pursuit of the 17-year-old.
Chairman Darragh MacAnthony tweeted that he would be “delighted” if his home grown wonderkid ended up playing for Jürgen Klopp’s side.

The Jade Jones part of his name sets him aside from all the other Jonesies.
But we should keep him and develop him further especially if Toney goes for big bucks.
