Gillingham v Posh

Post by tonyp » 12 Oct 2019, 21:01

Surely even Gaz_Miller will come out of hiding to comment on this game.
If ever there was a "must win" for both managers this has to be it.
A win by Posh could take Fergie's team into the automatic promotion spots.
A loss by Gillingham could take the Steve Evans team close to the relegation zone.
Fergie and Evans will both be well aware that Steve took us to a 4-2 win there last season.
Posh are favourites with the Aussie bookies and so they should be. But, no doubt, the Gillingham manager, Gaz's friend Steve Evans, and the Gillingham fans will hoping to cash in.
My money (if I were a gambling man) would be on the Posh to win with a two goal margin again.

Thanks for spotting my mistake Dave. I meant automatic promotion spots. I've changed it.

Not to mention Adi criticising him for ruining the Posh 2-2 Oxford game in December last year.

Does Adi like any referee? Seems to criticize them all.

Are Gillingham the only club who've been in League One for 7 seasons consecutively with Posh? I'm struggling to think of another away ground I'm making my 7th trip in a row to.

According to the Official Match Preview
https://www.theposh.com/matches/fixture ... 9-oct-19/#
Fergie said "I always think if you come away from Priestfield with three points in your bag you will be happy."
"Hopefully the weather will be kind because our supporters will be in that uncovered stand behind the goal."
"Posh had sold 350 tickets by 9am on Thursday"
"we will have a plan." Gills boss Steve Evans said.
