Queensland closed its borders nearly 6 months ago. We now have the best record in Australia and probably the world. And the borders are still closed to many parts of Australia and the World.
Boris should have done the same thing. it's all his fault.

I agree! It's short-term thinking to allow recreational international travel in my opinion.

Yes. But you and I are speaking with the benefit of hindsight.

It was painstakingly obvious from the start Tony. The Government were just scared to upset the travel industry & lose middle class voters. The virus spreads through travel so it doesn't take Einstein to work out that it's a danger to fly. No screening & no quarantine for months didn't help either but that's ineptitude for you!

I read newspapers and watch TV news. It’s not difficult to work out who the bad guys and the good guys are. Take Alistair Campbell for example, you know the one that encouraged Tony Blair to go into search for something he knew would not be found, that one, who has been criticising this government at every turn. The Slimeball Burnham up in Manchester being the friend of the working class, whilst happily lining his own pockets. At every which way and at every level the most corrupt of individuals are all displaying the badge of Labour, whilst defending the actions of certain citizens grooming and sharing young children. They are not the party of the working class, but the party of the non working class.
Good grief.
All politicians are in it for themselves and to pick on one particular party because you don’t like them is rather pathetic. If Tory sleaze and the likes of Jacob Rees Mogg are what you admire then you need your head examining. How many Tory MPs have been banged up for wrongdoing?
You are doing exactly what you have said about bristle - except that you are doing it AGAINST the Tory party!

The track & trace system certainly isn't "world-beating", with fortunes being spent on an ineffective system. Once again, that's what happens when you dish out contracts to your mates. Why did we fail when other countries got it right for far less money????

Allergic to eggs? Don't get a flu jab or ask for an egg free jab!

Me and Mrs B have had a flu jab every year for about the last ten, we've already been last Saturday and had this year's jab

Me too. I've only once in my life had 'proper' flu and it took me a couple of months to really feel loads better. I don't know how Trump does it!

Just watched Trump getting out of his plane, throwing masks to the invited supporters and telling them he's "now immune".
He clearly didn't get briefed about the guy who got it this week for the 2nd time in the States and is now in a worse condition on oxygen.

So, Sir Kier has broke ranks & sided with the science.

Must admit, it's a massive gamble by the government to finally ignore the science & go their own way with the local lockdowns.

This could go either way. If they get on top of the situation, then they will be heroes. However, if cases continue to rise, then it will be impossible for them to argue their case.

Interesting few weeks ahead.
