FA cup, the silence.

Post by DoubleRay » 02 Dec 2019, 21:42

The 3rd round of the FA cup matches will start with a minute's silence for mental well being.......

Right..More like an awkward silence while people try not to look at each other.
It's daft imo.

Yes really.
I know it's all about a campaign for mental awareness but foisting it on what will be noisy football matches is odd.
We all have anxieties and hang ups at various stages of our lives so it's not like we aren't aware anyway. I suffer from depression sometimes.

Anyway, It's a bit ironic when some football fans will be chanting about doing each other in at times during a match. Grown men chanting fetching their fathers gun ? That is some mental awareness. :?

Thanks Nipper.
I hope it is observed by at least the majority of those attending.
