Charley Pride, country music's first black star, has died of complications from COVID-19 aged 86.
My wife and I used to go to every concert by visiting Country artists.
When we went to see Charley Pride we were disappointed that he just came on stage, sang numerous songs to tremendous applause. But he didn't say Hello or Goodbye. He just sang.
But I still remember him as a great country singer and I'm pleased that I was able to see him on stage.
