The BAFTAs

Post by bristleposh » 01 Aug 2020, 11:11

Last night I did something I don’t usually do, watched the BAFTAs mainly because the excellent Richard Ayoade was doing The presentation, and everything else on the main channels was a repeat.

My goodness me, I think it was something like a Black Lives Matter tribute, I have no objection to Idris Elba getting the special award, but some of the other awards were a joke. No award for the superb Gentleman Jack or Fleabag. Yet, Taskmaster, Mo Gilligan and the totally unfunny Slath Lets Flats, Chernobyl which bored the pants of me after about 30 minutes all got awards. Entertainment is supposed to entertain and a lot of the prize winners didn’t do that for this viewer. There were complaints by the usual snowflakes about no ethnic representation in the BAFTA film awards, they certainly made up for it in diamonds (I know that is not the correct statement, but I’m sure the correct term would be classed as racist).

If I were you Brizzle I'd invest in satellite TV. You get a wider range of channels.

Btw, what are 'Wokes'?

Just looked at the link. Dear oh dear.
Roll on new signings and the new season so we we don't get subjected to this cxxp for much longer.

Fingers crossed.

I’m with you 100% I’d much prefer to talk football, but when you get people suggesting they are better than you I tend to get annoyed
