I've decided it must be great being a socialist, being so completely right all the time. I'm pleased to say I've just come away from the Coronavirus thread on dotnet. The amount people could learn from that website is wonderful. I'm surprised that they don't all emigrate to somewhere like New Zealand where they'd be happier that staying in the UK. It's much the same on their Brexit thread. We'd be so much better off under Captain Hindsight, according to them, I'm surprised not enough went out to vote for them.
EVERYTHING with you comes down to your fanaticism for the Conservative Party. Hatred of Labour, Europe, Socialism etc comes into your every post. Maybe you need to relax a bit, can't be good for you being so angry!

People like you do tend to make me angry by assuming your right all the time.

Looks like that idea to "clap" our heroes tonight has died on its arse! Did anyone participate?

I haven't seen it described as having "died on its arse" in the reports on our news bulletins.
It has been reported that because of the lockdown health workers have said they would rather people stay at home and wear a mask than clap for them.
That may be part of the reason for it being quieter than previously.

Yeah, there's a host of reasons why hardly anyone is doing it this time. I don't know of anyone who did it last night, but last year the whole world & their dog was out clapping.

You may not know anyone personally but according to the news reports here "Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer said he participated at 20:00 GMT on Thursday". Maybe you were thinking it was because of him that it "died on its arse".

It wasn’t really publicised in the news to be honest, but then again the Media, Government & police are more interested in promoting #ProjectFear & #OperationTerror than anything else so no surprise there.

We (Brisbane) are just starting Day 3 of a three day lockdown because someone has travelled from the UK to Queensland with the "highly-infectious United Kingdom strain of the virus".
In our Aged Care facility we aren't even allowed out of our apartments.
Hopefully by the end of today (Monday) they will have found that it hasn't spread from the two people who brought it in.
Fortunately politics doesn't come into it.

Project Fear and Operation Terror are both pathetic conspiracy theories dreamt up by no-good sensationalists.

I agree, ProjectFear WAS dreamt up by sensationalists and they're called Johnson, Hancock, Whitty & Vallence

Try telling 80,000 families there is nothing in it, are you related to a goalkeeper who used to play for Coventry youths and Hereford.

Why would the Political Establishment of all the world's countries be united in a secret project to cripple the planet with a virus???

What would they get out it??? There have been winners out of this, but there are far more losers. There's a lot of corruption out there but, to say that all the leaders are in on it is a bit far fetched.

I think it's possible that it's a man-made virus but if this is the case, I'd suspect China would be the culprits as they have an agenda.

99% of people under the age of 70 who contract this deadly virus survive it, 99%!! I bet families of cancer casualties wish their lost loved ones had that change of survival. We all die at some point and why should young people have their entire futures, education and lives destroyed by rich wealthy people who this doesn't affect financially at all. Kids will have lost a whole year of education at least by the time this is all over if not longer.

And ask yourself this, what if it doesn't go away or comes back again and again then what?? Are you happy to be locked up for the rest of your days or should we learn to adapt and live with it?

Typical, selfish attitude of those who try and deflect the truth, why can’t we just give you a gun and let you go around and shoot everyone over 70.
