Another question, would you be comfortable in taking the vaccine as soon as it's released?

With the testing being fast-tracked, I imagine there's more potential dangers. Saying that, I'm sure science has evolved since the famous philidamide (forgive my spelling) scandal.

I wouldn't be comfortable taking it as soon as it's released - unless I was in a situation where I had to.

It will be interesting who they 'offer' it to first.

Like you say, I'm sure science has evolved enough to make it as safe as possible.

If a vaccine is developed and it is tested and approved by the World Health Organisation AND Australian Health authorities. And if Australia can access it then it will be offered to the aged community in Australia first.
I would have the vaccination and I would ensure that my wife would.

Wonderful news coming out of Taffyland, If you go into a supermarket all the non-essential aisles are cordoned off, so you won't be able to buy books, TVs, or socks.
Maybe children won’t have birthdays during this period, maybe a TV or washing machine won’t break down.
This idea can only have come from a director of Amazon or a Labour-led jurisdiction.

All you socialists probably know the reason but I certainly can’t see it.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/ ... k-lockdown
Supermarkets will have discretion over the Welsh government’s ban on selling non-essential items during the firebreak lockdown, the first minister has said.
Mark Drakeford said people may need to buy such products “for entirely unexpected reasons which they couldn’t have foreseen” during the 17-day period. The restriction has led to aisles being cordoned off and plastic sheeting placed over items including children’s clothes, bedding and kettles.

About 60,000 people have signed a petition to the Welsh parliament calling for the ban to be reversed immediately.
Apparently one of the people wo signed the petition was from Bristol. He wanted to buy that poster on the left.

I don't know what a control freak sounds like.
My wife is at an advanced stage of Alzheimer's and I would have to ensure that she had the vaccination.

So, the antibodies only stay in your system for a few months, meaning herd immunity is now off the table.

Does that mean the vulnerable will have to have a vaccine every three months?

If this is true, then that is what will need to happen.

I guess it will be just like the flu in a year or two time.

Over 50's will get a covid jab between Sept-Nov & everybody else will have to pay for one (if they want to).

U-turn number 4,396 expected at 4pm.

Can we please call a general election & get this buffoon & his mates out once & for all?

I’d sooner Ant & Dec have a go.

Great idea, who gave them five years, people with more sense than you that’s for sure. Every country in Europe is suffering the same fate, perhaps we should become part of a European community whilst we are about it. Your one time great leader has been dumped by his own party, not before time, as soon as we get rid if the likes of Starmer, Dodds, Rayner, Lammas Ashworth etc perhaps then another party might be preferable. Or we could get Danny Dyer and Gary Lineker to make us all 😂
