Locking the door.

Post by DoubleRay » 20 Dec 2019, 12:36

When you can't win an argument.

I thought Brexit was January 31st. There are a lot of wranglings to be done even after that date.
But must'nt mention it on here, eh.

Enough of Brexit, sounds like Boris & co are already backtracking. The preservation of workers rights is being taken off the table & plans to increase the minimum wage have been binned. Can anyone honestly say this is good news? The Tory lies are starting already, it's absolutely astonishing how the working classes in particular swallowed this & within a few days it's unfolding.

I am English and working class so I know what I'm talking about. I know many people, some my friends and some my family that voted leave for nationalist reasons and the hatred of foreigners in general. I personally voted stay and am not racist.
People should be honest and upfront but they wont. They will say "we voted leave" and that's that without any reasonable explanation because they know it's shameful to be seen as racist.

It's a we are England brigade. Nothing more, nothing less.

SO BREXIT SHOULD BE DISCUSSED. It's mine, yours and your children's future. It's not going to go away ! NOT YET.

I've been called ignorant for not understanding the issues
I've had my reasons thrown back at me as irrelevant
My reasons are not as valid as those who know exactly what will happen, because they say so
I don't have a problem with foreigners yet I'm accused at every turn of being a racist

How does that make you know what you're talking about?
I was born in England to a "working class" family.
I have friends and family who voted the way they chose for reasons they thought valid.
They don't claim to know any more of what they're talking about than anyone else.

I don’t agree, sticks and stones and all that, but in this day and age the PC police consider that anything that does not fit their agenda is racist, homophobic, sexist, vegetarianist, any otherist they can make up that doesn’t fit their daft policies. People of any description are derided for their opinions, I have thick enough skin to be called anything as long as it’s not too early in the morning.

I don't know any Farage lovers.
You wouldn't have one of Winston Churchill would you?

Churchill was a fatcat Tory. He smoked the finest cigars and dined on fine cuisine when the country had to make do.
He would have been right at home in the modern Tory party.

Just out of interest are there any council houses left in Stanground, I believe it was once a council estate
