The National Health and Medical Research Council's new alcohol guidelines that say Australian drinkers should have no more than 10 standard drinks per week, saying the new health guides are reasonable, and bring us into line with countries like France.

But the alcohol industry disagrees, claiming the new recommendations are confusing and misleading, and won't do much to reduce harmful alcohol consumption.
That's less than two per day on average. But if you only drink on one day you can have four drinks (maximum).

No wonder that the alcohol industry don't like it.
