As for Ashman going on about the war years, which war are you referring to?? How far back in history do you want to go, you sound like the BLM protesters constantly banging on about 'history'.
I was merely comparing the youngsters of today who think that they are being treated badly because they are being asked to shield themselves instead of spreading the virus with the pensioners who have already had to go without because of the war years. It doesn't matter whether we talk about WW1 or WW11 because always the population has been asked to sacrifice certain things in order for the next generation to flourish. That is all that is being asked of the present generation. Give a bit of your time so that you and yours will benefit in the future.
the present generation shouldn't have to shield or stay indoors though, they should be out there earning the money to pay the taxes to isolate the vulnerable who should also keep people away from them at all costs. The Govt should have ring fenced and isolated all the vulnerable in hotels, holiday parks etc and made sure they had access to food, entertainment, heating etc free of charge for as long as it took instead of spending billions on paying people's wages for months on end and if these people didn't want to be isolated then that's their choice but they accept the consequences. By the time this lockdown ends this will have been going on for a year, this can't go on forever
That's exactly why the virus is spreading! People aren't heeding the warnings from the scientists. The mutated virus now seems to be gathering an even more ferocious pace of infection, including people of all ages.
Stay indoors, wear a mask if you have to shop and keep a safe distance from everybody else.

So, Priti Patel doesn't know the rules either.

The day you're stitched up by Phil Schofield & Holly Willoughby on This Morning, you're in deep sh*t.

I can't think of a more incompetent bunch trying to get us through covid than the current cabinet. We'd be better off with Bungle & Zippy running the show.

Do you think the majority of us would trust anything somebody who watches This Morning with Wally Hillbilly and Gayboy has to say

I don't watch it - I work for a living.

However, I can read & if you look online you will find that she was absolutely stitched up.

We've had the PPE scandal & now they're even at it with food packages for deprived children. This pandemic has shown the levels of corruption going on with taxpayers money.

Billions of our taxes is going to old pals & Tory donors who have no experience in the relative fields, gain contacts without tender & then make a pig's ear of it.

It's absolutely disgusting & unacceptable, but incredibly the weak people of the UK allow this to happen without any real complaints.
....and you think Labour would have done any different, as for the food parcels, the picture was fake, the bread was dated sell by 3rd Nov, so the picture was probably taken in October when kids were in school, so no need for food parcels.

Classic Bristle here.

1) Deny the problem - "Fake" he cries but there's hundreds & thousands of similar pics. You focus on the authenticity of the library pic they used rather than the real issues.

2) Somehow involve Labour - So Labour would've done the same in Bristle's eyes. How do you know this????? And this does not mean it's acceptable at all.

3) Fail to condemn an act by the Tories - Bristle, surely even you think that the corruption involving Government contracts has been shocking. They're stealing off the taxpayer & keeping their mates/donors happy. All at the expense of tax contributors. No need to mention this issue unless Labour caused it though.

1 Why use a library photo and claim it was real

2 Boris has been led by scientists, I assume you have proof that Labour scientists would have had different information from that of Witty et al.

3 The Tories behaviour has been appalling in looking after their chums, but I have little doubt Labour would have done a similar thing. Either that or they’d have taken us to war looking for imaginary weapons of mass destruction.

Well you don’t need one as you sit on your sofa all day lovingly gazing at a picture of Maggie whilst the rest of us earn the money to pay your pension.

And just for your information Bristle I wear a face covering and follow social distancing which probably explains why I haven’t contracted this ‘deadly’ virus. If these so called rule breakers are the super spreaders then why are ‘rule abiders’ contracting the virus, if they are following the rules then they wouldn’t catch the virus would they. But hey much easier for you to blame youngsters from the comfort of your armchair watching the BBC ramping up OperationTerror, people of your generation are just as culpable.

Indeed they are just as culpable, I think I earned a fair bit of my pension from working for almost fifty years, but hey-ho. It's odd how the young don't care about the old, but when confronted with the facts they find an excuse not to do as the Government advises, only then to turn round and blame the Government. I heard Captain Hindsight saying today (or yesterday) that once again the Government acted too slowly, obviously, he doesn't listen to you because you think he is being over cautious. It is a deadly disease, I wake up some mornings at about two or three to empty the bladder get a small cough, and think I'm going to die. So far so good though. Should have my first jab sometime in the next five or six weeks, then hopefully have the second jab before the end of April and hopefully, it will be safe for me to go and lay on the beach in Southern Spain for best part of a fortnight.

The UK now has the highest COVID death rate in the world.

Go Bojo - you complete & utter fraud.

The numbers don't make good reading, however if we take politics out of the equation, does anyone on this forum seriously believe that all other countries on this planet are using the same criteria as us to record their Covid deaths?

I don't know how all other countries record their Covid deaths. I assume that they record people who die from the virus. That's how they do it in Queensland. I don't even know how they do it in the rest of Australia. I assume it's the same.
It certainly has nothing to do with politics.
