All about England

Post by bristleposh » 17 Feb 2020, 09:22

I realized after the event that some people who read this message might have allegiances elsewhere in GB. They might wonder why some of the great players that have represented other Home Countries. I imagine a few might make a shortlist, whether any would make the final selection is debatable.

If anyone can, Grant McCann can.

A few names from my scant memory of players that may have made the shortlist
Pat Jennings, George Best, Ryan Giggs, John Charles, Ian Rush, Denis Law, are a few my apologies to our pub league followers but I don't know enough to name any contenders, can anyone think of a few people from S, W or NI who might have made the shortlist

Dave MacKay, Billy Bremner, could argue the case for lots of names
