Do you normally allow Rugby League scores on this messageboard?

They had a poor second half only won that 1-0

That win puts Wigan 12 points clear of third bottom, with a vastly superior goal difference. I think the rules were that if they got relegated the 12 points would be given them at the start of next season, if they stay in Championship the 12 point deduction would be given them this season, I don’t think the EFL expected them to be in a position where the 12 points would not mean them getting relegated.

such a shame, but the goal Wigan conceded in the 95th minute the other night may well condemn them to relegation. As for Hull, I shall be very surprised if they will keep their manager when they get relegated at the end of the season. He may well need to return to his home country if he is ever to find football based employment again. That or a job in the media.

The Latics’ appeal against their 12-point penalty has been heard by an independent tribunal and the club’s joint administrators announced on Friday that judgement has been reserved.
Anybody prepared to guess how long they will take to announce their decision?

Not a clue Tony. It could become just another damning indictment of the tardiness of the useless football authorities.

Wigan's relegation to League One has been confirmed after they lost their appeal against a 12-point deduction for going into administration.

Wigan appealed against the punishment on the grounds of 'force majeure'.

But an independent arbitration panel ruled against them, meaning Barnsley will stay in the Championship.
