Re: Next three fixtures off
This is tough news and I wonder if we are closing in on the "points per game" curtailing of the season?
No games until January 2nd....

Oh no! That means there's no one to moan about or criticise for the next two weeks.

I can’t see the season finishing if this carries on. Will we scrape into the play offs if it’s on points per game?
Yet again, a dreadful run could scupper us.

I still think Wycombe will top the table by virtue of having won more points in the championship than any of the other teams.

Not going to happen but ...Gaz_Miller wrote: ↑18 Dec 2020, 18:48I can’t see the season finishing if this carries on. Will we scrape into the play offs if it’s on points per game?

IF the season finished right now (and if my calculation is right) the top six in League 1 would be
Points per game
Accrington 1.933
Hull 1.889
Lincoln 1.882
Doncaster1.875
Charlton 1.875
Portsmouth 1.842

Meanwhile, back on the message board, our next two games are cancelled.
Anyone know when they will be rearranged?

If anyone does know they are certainly keeping it quiet!DaveLister wrote: ↑21 Dec 2020, 14:01Meanwhile, back on the message board, our next two games are cancelled.

Exactly - nobody knows and even if they did, I think they would be very wary of giving out such information.tonyp wrote: ↑21 Dec 2020, 22:11If anyone does know they are certainly keeping it quiet!DaveLister wrote: ↑21 Dec 2020, 14:01Meanwhile, back on the message board, our next two games are cancelled.

Re: Next three fixtures off
plenty of time to rearrange as, currently, we only have 5 non bank holiday midweek league fixtures penciled in until the end of the season but given the nonsense that happened last season the sooner the better (assuming we win them of course)
They could help with fixture congestion by scrapping the Pizza Trophy especially as last season's final still hasn't been played yet which seems rather odd tbh

Re: Next three fixtures off
I fear that the title of this thread could change to more than just "three". The number of clubs with positive cases is rising at an alarming rate.
I've been burying my head and hoping that PPG would go away, however I'm not so sure now.

Re: Next three fixtures off
The EFL seems to have completely buggered up two seasons (or at least will have done) if this goes to PPG, anyone with an ounce of sense could see the way to have dealt with last season, as I said at the time was to have a break come back in about July August (as I said at the time) then finish the season. It would have meant a delay to the start of the new season, but as it turns out (as expected) there was a second anticipated break they could have suspended the new season and finished it whenever.
The trouble is big money decided the outcome with the Premier league insisting the championship ended on time, which in term the others had to as well. Utterly ridiculous situation, the beneficiaries are those with the money, the sufferers are the fans of the teams who could have had a chance of promotion last season and keeping their best players for life where they belonged.
