I had not forgotten tonyp. The worst day in my football life. An extraordinary footballer who gave me personally enormous pleasure.

Me too, Brian.
The accident happened near an LBC clay pit. My father was working there and was one of the first to help Dennis out of his car.

I had forgotten that the game was played at Norwich. You will probably remember why.

An integral part of Jimmy Hagan’s great teams of the late 1950s and early 1960s. I used to love watching him play. I think the place where the accident happened was/is known as Nobby Gates?

I don't remember that (again Brian might) but I just looked it up on Google Maps and there are a lot of blue areas which could be old clay pits which were filled with water. My father was a dragline driver at the clay pits and he must have been close to the road where it happened.

The day after my 14th birthday, I’m sure I must have cried.

You do know I guess that the Club and I with the help of many others made a Video about Dennis called "The Story"" a few years back.
