Posh v Chorley FA Cup 2nd Round

Draw tomorrow on BBC2 and I believe SSN at 7pm we’re ball 5 apparently. Hopefully get Kings Lynn at home. Preferably not Pompey away

I honestly believe we are quite capable of beating any other club in the draw, including Portsmouth away.
But if we draw '14 Oxford City or Northampton Town' it would certainly give them something to play for tonight!

1st Round
Wigan 2 Chorley 3 after extra time
THE Magpies produced a stunning fightback to knock 2013 FA Cup winners Wigan Athletic out of the FA Cup and qualify for the second round for the first time in 30 years.

Assuming we get past Chorley (and no disrespect to them but you’d expect us to win), in the 3rd round I suspect we will be drawn away to either Man City, Liverpool, Everton, Arsenal or Spurs (5 grounds I haven't been to) if fans are still not allowed into grounds. If fans are allowed back, it’ll be West Brom or Middlesbrough.

This should be a walkover for Posh - top of League 1 versus a non leaguer - just like Northampton v Oxford City was last night.

Very droll - but quite the sort of thing that happens to Posh! :comeon:

Potential for it to be on TV as there aren't many ties that shout out to be on TV, i.e. non league side at home to a league team, other than Barnet v MK. At the very least we 'll probably be on the BBC iPlayer single camera live stream like quite a few games were over the weekend.

Be interesting to see the team selection this time. Pym, Kent, Mason, Tracey-Beaker, was what we started with at Oxford, that seems a fair shout for Chorley. We don’t have Thompson and we played Broom on the left, perhaps we’ll go with Butler on the left and Broom to the right, Reed, Taylor and Hamilton, maybe the go to midfield, I think he may go with Szmodics and Dembele up front as they are speedier than Eisa. Whatever ten outfield players we put out we should be to strong for a team in the 6th division

I'd start Eisa. If he can get amongst the goals it will do his confidence the world of good.

Apart from that, I think Reed deserves another go but I wouldn't change too much else.

Need to spank these on Saturday night.

10-1 Eisa 4, Dembele 3, Reed, Kent, Butler
