There will be no money in it this year unless you get on TV in the third round.

As Bristle says, play the reserves. It really doesn't matter.

Finishing in the top two is paramount this season.

Just hope that DMac and DF see it the same way, surely a side of Gyollai, Kanu, Mason, Tracey-Beaker, Burrows, Broom, Hamilton, Reed, Tasdemir, Clarke, Eisa shouldn’t be too overwhelmed at this level, if fit Szmodics on the bench, along with a few like Cartwright, Pym, Kent, Brown and JCH

game confirmed as Saturday 7 Nov at 3pm, no fans allowed of course due to #projectfear but you could always park behind the open end stand on the roof of your car to watch it

Hopefully we will play mainly fringe players, save the first team for the important games
Depends on whether DMac and Fergie want us to go further than Round 1.

"at this level"? Everybody agrees that getting promotion is most important but most of our League 1 opposition is at this level.
It's the first round of the FA Cup. If DMac wants to make any money out of the competition we have to reach the 3rd round and more.
I repeat. Depends on whether DMac and Fergie want us to go further than Round 1.

Even if we scramble our way into round three, there is not going to be a load of lucre heading our way, unless fans are allowed back in to watch the games. It really becomes an unwelcome distraction to our championship aspirations. Nobody at the club will admit that there is little point in the competition as that will be a kick in the teeth to the FA. It's not the club or the FA's fault; it is just the way of this very altered new world. The sooner we accept it the better!
