If Gillingham win they will be level on points with Posh. Probably around 10th place in the table.
That's enough to make (most of) us to want Posh to win.
In the unlikely event that Gillingham do win then you and Evans will be gloating about it.
Unlike you Tony, I will be there.

If you think I’ll be spending over £40 on a day out watching Posh & then hope they lose, you are on cloud cuckoo land.

I don't think you hope Posh lose. Fortunately we're unlikely to know whether you would have gloated about Evans beating Fergie. But I have a terrible feeling you would have done.

If Gillingham beat us on Saturday it will be a new low for Mr Ferguson.

He now has a squad worth well over £10m - Evans has a squad worth well over £10.

Anything less than promotion this season will be a disaster.

From the Gillingham Official site
The Gaffer has placed Assistant Manager Paul Raynor in charge for tomorrow’s match at Bromley and he will be assisted by Youth Team Manager, Craig Stone.
The Manager will not be in attendance as he will be on a scouting assessment.
I see that Evans has chickened out attending! Good. It saves a lot of Posh fans from being thrown out for using foul and abusive language ..... Oh!

Doesn't that mean he wasn't going to Bromley?

Sorry for being thick but who was supposed to be going to Bromley

Paul Raynor was in charge of the match at Bromley.
Evans was on a scouting assessment.
Evans also said "My priority is Saturday's match at Peterborough, it has my sole focus."
So, he'll be at London Road on Saturday.

Peterborough United v Gillingham Saturday

REFEREE: KEVIN JOHNSON
Oh no. Not Evans' mate Kevin Johnson.
From Kentonline
https://www.kentonline.co.uk/medway/spo ... nt-219787/
Kevin Johnson angered Gills’ management and fans alike after twice denying them seemingly clear-cut penalties in the recent game at AFC Wimbledon before sending off midfielder Ben Pringle near the end of the game for dissent.
Boss Steve Evans showed his anger at the end of the match but chose to keep much of his feelings to himself when asked about it in the post-match press conference, rather than risk being slapped with an FA fine.

Gills manager Steve Evans directs his anger towards referee Kevin Johnson on the final whistle at AFC Wimbledon.
Less than two months later and the official will be overseeing the match against Peterborough United this Saturday.
When asked about the referee’s appointment, Evans said: “I don’t wish to make any comment on the referee.”

More from KentOnLine
https://www.kentonline.co.uk/medway/spo ... de-219779/
Evans said “We know it will be tough for us but we know the rewards. When the fixtures came out, nobody expected us to be going to Peterborough on January 11 with the chance to draw level with them in the table.

“The task will be difficult, but we are not going to go there and lie down, are we? We are going to fight, scrap and kick and do what it takes to get a result.”
