This has been dreadful yet again down to ten men and 1-0 down

I've only just logged on (at 2:45am). Both sides have 10 men and it's 0-3. We've scored two of them.

Jeepers creepers. About as bad as I feared it would be.

I think we may need to bring back all our players that are out on loan for the Lincoln game. Desperandum.

Looking at the table, at least there is only 3 points difference between 6th and 2nd.

Tighter than a gnats chuff.

Haven't been to a Posh match all season due to the birth of my first daughter. Went to Rotherham today as I'm a Posh fan living in Chesterfield so not far to travel and was hoping to watch a decent game of football. How wrong could I be?

Posh were well beaten by a Rotheham side who were hungrier, snapped into tackles and pressed well allowing our players very little time on the ball. I thought our midfield diamond 4 were all very very poor. They're all players that like to be on the ball as, because that was nullified by hungrier players quickly into the press, they had no answer. Serious lack of bite and passion in midfield. Fergie must have known that midfield would be outrun but I guess didn't really have many more options to do anything about it? Let's face it, you're not winning many games without an entire midfield!

Butler was being doubled up on throughout the first half due to the narrow diamond and every attack/cross was coming from that side. Overall, a very disappointing day. Roll on January where I feel 3/4 signings that will demand a starting place need to be signed. 2 of those need to be central midfielders on today's evidence in my opinion. Be interesting to hear others thoughts on this who attended today?

I’m beginning to think some of the posters on a couple of forums, on Twitter, on Facebook calling for the head of Fergie, may not be talking from their ‘arrises. Having played excellently at Portsmouth utilising three central defenders, he opts for the bloody diamond away in the land of the giants. Woodward again was probably the only Posh player who deserves to be paid this week, yet he is not a winger by any stretch of the imagination. Not saying the result would have been different but....

What he'll is going on 7 against in 2 games and second in the table should have made the players pay for the fans that attended at Rotherham.Bloody rubbish.

Does anybody who went to the game think the result could have been because Rotherham were a better side than us? (on the day)
Or is it simply because our team and our manager are hopeless.

It was definitely the former. We don't suddenly become a poor side and Fergie has always been the best fit for our club.

Good to read. Some fans tend to forget that there are occasionally teams that are even better than us.

I could not agree more!. What on earth was Fergie thinking about playing the bloody diamond system against a team like Clobberham. I would have employed a back 5 with Bennett along side Beevers, Kent, Butler and Mason. Reed and Wood yard central midfield with Boyd and Ward wide. Toney central striker. I thought Burrow and Jones looked like little boys lost and are far too raw for a game of this calibre. Still what do I know! I'm just a poor fan who's travelled 240 miles at Christmas and spent near on £80 watching a pitiful display orchestrated by a manager who is tactically inept.

I don't think we would have beaten Rotherham with whatever combination of that bare squad yesterday.
We needed Maddison. We needed a fit Boyd. We needed a midfield.
