Andy Haines was the referee for the Doncaster v Accrington game yesterday. It was originally going to be David Rock who is the ref for the Posh v Doncaster game this week.
The Doncaster fans rated Andy Haines out of 5.
6% said 1 out of 5
94% said 0 out of 5 (totally useless).
Some of the comments from Doncaster fans after the game-
"He is always useless ( / bizarre) and I alwys give him NIL"
"One of the weakest referees I have ever seen absolutely shocking......again"
"Well it was Andy Haines and it turned out, I wish it was David Rock. Or Chris Rock. Or The Rock. Perhaps an actual rock would have done a better job.
We need a minus option on these polls. Haines deserves less than zero."

Boring. We have played exactly half of the games that we are scheduled to play (22 out of 44) and to keep trotting out the same old post is both annoying and wrong.
Yes, it would be preferable to win this game but 'must win' games don't arise until about the last month of the season!

 It would be "preferable to win" every game.
If we wait until the last month of the season it might be too late.
You may not care whether we win or lose but I bet Fergie cares.
If we want to finish the season in the top two we MUST beat teams like Rotherham who are breathing down our neck. Otherwise we could start sliding down the table instead of up.
This is only my opinion and you are entitled to yours also.

PS Thanks for explaining that 22 out of 44 is half. :clap2:

I pointed that out before somebody said that we play 46 games in a season. Some may have forgotten that the proposed two games against Bury are now null and void.

Disagree. I see it as very important that we take points from the teams around us all season long, as well as those at the bottom

Agreed. Very, very important to take points off teams around us but certainly not a 'must win' situation. The season will not end if we lose!

Maybe we'll look back on this game at the end of the season and think that the result of this game helped or hindered our or Rotherham's promotion chances. Rotherham fans probably see this as a must win game.

I have looked at the highlights of Rotherham's last game They have assembled a bunch of meaty giants.
Not sure how Posh will fare with them.

From the Peterborough Telegraph
https://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/spo ... -1-9185763
Peterborough United’s poor away form v Rotherham United’s bad home form, Millers boss wary of ‘brilliant’ Posh forwards and the referee whose performance led to a £1,000 fine for Darren Ferguson.
The match referee tomorrow is veteran Andy Haines whose performance in a Doncaster match in 2018 cost Ferguson a £1,000 fine after comments which suggested he wanted unfit, bad referees ‘shot.’ Ferguson apologised after being found charged and fine by the Football Association.

No Maddison which is odd. I don't think Burrows is the answer.
I can't see us getting anything from this game. I just hope that Ricky is on song. He will be up against some right physical buggers.
