This is a must win game.
From the Official site
Posh host Doncaster Rovers at London Road on Boxing Day (3pm).
Posh still have a considerable injury list with Idris Kanu, Josh Knight, Siriki Denbele, Nathan Thompson and Mark Beevers on the sidelines, although the latter has been rated as ‘touch and go’ following a medical assessment this week.
George Boyd and Frazer Blake-Tracy were due to return to training this week and could feature, while the Posh boss admitted one or two others have knocks and niggles.
FROM THE GAFFER
“Doncaster keep the ball very well, they are a dangerous team to play against. They are in a bit of a false position in the table because they have games in hand. They have good players, who can hurt you, but so do we. We are at home, we have been good at home but we know that we will need to play well to win the game,” Ferguson said.

Only 500 tickets bought so far by Donny. Lack of trains may be the issue. Expect car parking near the ground maybe tricky.

From the Doncaster Official site
Rovers are 12/5 with title partners Sky Bet to overcome Peterborough United on Boxing Day.

Darren Moore’s side beat the Posh 2-0 the last time the two sides met in September, and a repeat of that score-line is 20/1.

Jon Taylor got on the scoresheet against Accrington Stanley in Rovers’ last league game, and he is priced at 10/1 to open the scoring against his former club.

The home side are available at evens to claim all three points, while the draw is at 5/2.

Today will see the Posh give respect to all those Posh fans we loved and lost.this year. A really nice touch with images going up on the big screen.
I lost two good people this year who were regular Posh fans and I know they will be remembered today at the ground.
R.I.P. to all the departed.

I think that is unchanged from the Rovers game, but with a little more experience on the bench

As usual Kieran Sadlier scores against us, I take it all back about Maddison, we definitely miss him when he's not playing. First half Butler and Woodyard take the honours for Posh and the usual rubbish refereeing decisions.

0-3 it ended, that was so disappointing, we were outplayed by the better side on the day. No doubt every one and their dog will be laying into Pym, and Woodyard, but for me the goalkeeper made more good saves that poor efforts, he maybe should have got to the first but he made up for that with one superb save in the second. Undoubtedly our marking at corners can be criticised, I've seen other sides score similar goals against us.

Pym 5
Mason 6
Bennett 5
Kent 6
Ward 5
Reed 6
Woodyard 7
Butler 6
Maddison 4
Eisa 5
Toney 4
Jones 5
Boyd 5
Blake-Tracey 5

The better side won. That does happen in football.
We're still in the top six and close to the top two.
All we have to do is beat Rotherham and everyone will be happy again.

Not outplayed.. I would say Posh were the better passing team.but just seemed to lose their way in the final third. We had the most possession but the crosses in for Toney/ Eisa were poor today. Butler was poor as was Maddison. No width down the right from Wardy at all and no surprise he went off.

Apart from Taylor and Saddlier, Donny looked lethargic and their goalkeeper looked like a juggler but we didn't test him enough. We gifted them the 3 goals.

Posh will bounce back. I'm not overly concerned with this freaky result.

We were very poor with no creative play whatsoever. We did not deserve to win OR lose by 3-0. They had approx.4 shots to our 16, so the blame rests with Posh.
